Winter 2025
Adult Bible Study: Led by Sid Werges
Location - Fellowship Hall
Studies in the Book of Acts - No other book of the Bible provides us with detailed information about the inception and explosive growth of the church established by Jesus in the first century. We learn about the supernatural activity and sovereign power of God behind the growth, the role of evangelism and missions in the growth, and the role we play in the continuing growth of the church today. Acts provides us with all the principles we need to be on mission with Jesus. If you want to experience a stimulating and exciting life, then join us for this in-depth study through the book of Acts.
Young Adult Bible Study: Led by Chris and Carol Spies
Location - Library Area (Upstairs Classroom near the elevator)
Believers in the early church scattered across the Roman Empire were facing the threat of increased persecution. Peter, the most outspoken of the disciples and leader among the apostles, wrote two practical and encouraging letters to strengthen the hearts of these followers of Christ. Pastor John MacArthur and Chris Spies will take you through these two letters, passage by passage, so that you can better understand Peter's words of hope and wisdom and how to live victoriously in the midst of life-threatening trials.
In the first letter, Peter reminds believers of the many blessings available to them because of their persecution. In the second letter, he warns them to discern and defeat the false teachers who were invading their churches and teaching them dangerous and deceptive doctrines. Peter's letters of encouragement and warning are just as important for believers today as they were during the first century.
