- The Sadducees’ absurd question about Levirite marriage in heaven came out of a heart of unbelief and deception.
- This scenario is played out vividly in the book of Ruth with Boaz and Ruth.
Truth Declared in the Scriptures (Mark 12:24-27)
- Jesus points us to a true understanding of God and the Scriptures.
- Jesus displays marriage as both meaningful and momentary.
- Earthly marriage displays the Gospel and is a foreshadowing of our union with Christ in heaven forever.
- Jesus declares that God never ceases to be God – He is the God of life!
